Molecular microbiologist Hannah, is a member of the Genome Synthesis team at Constructive currently working in strain development/optimisation and method development. 

Hannah has been working in industry since 2011 and previous roles include Senior Scientific Officer at Nemesis Bioscience, Senior Scientist at Phico Therapeutics and Staff Scientist at Ampliphi Biosciences. All have involved the use of bacteriophage in either phage therapy or as a delivery vehicle to target specific bacterial species either as a treatment for infection or to target and inactivate AMR genes. She has a PhD from the University of Nottingham where her work characterised the regulation of the quorum sensing system of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis.   

Outside of the lab Hannah is a full-time mummy and enjoys doing experiments and building models of phage out of pipe cleaners, Lego and stickle bricks with her budding little scientist!
